The Lab
In 2008, the team received a donation that, among other things, allowed us to establish a UCF Programming Team Laboratory. Located in Room 202 of the Harris Engineering Center on the UCF Main Campus, the lab provides a facility for improved training. Not only can we configure the lab as needed (in the past we would share space and that would often restrict us in what we could do), it also provides a place where team members can work in during the week to further improve their abilities. The space includes multiple computers to provide both individual and group training opportunities and also provides a venue where team members can get together to discuss a solution technique, the solution to a particular problem and many other topics. The lab is a very nice asset that we have worked to achieve for many years. Thanks to our donor, it is now a reality!
The lab underwent renovations to provide updated hardware capabilities (power, network and air conditioning were added) as well as a true judging room that properly separates the judges during our practices from the teams. The judging room includes a one-way glass window so that the coaches can continue to observe the teams while they practice. Check out the renovation gallery!
